What are Cutler & Smyth knives made from?
Our blades are made from SF100, a stainless razor blade steel from Sheffield. Handles are constructed in-house from Richlite, an incredibly durable material made from layers of paper, and our rivets are brass.
Where are Cutler & Smyth kitchen knives made?
Our knives are made, assembled and finished in our workshop in Wiltshire.
How many Cutler & Smyth knives are there?
We currently have nine knives in the collection — with more planned. They can be purchased individually or in sets. We’ve covered all kitchen prep techniques with both European and Japanese blade styles.
Where can I buy a Cutler & Smyth knife?
You can buy knives directly via our website or visit one of our selected specialist retailers.
What can a Cutler & Smyth knife be used for?
We have a range of knives for specific kitchen tasks, for example cutting bread, boning and filleting. If you’re looking for a good all-rounder, you can’t go wrong with the curvebladed Chef’s Knife. It can handle anything from disjointing a chicken to dicing onions.
Can I gift someone a Cutler & Smyth knife?
Yes. If you pick the knife, we can either send it to you in a gift box, or directly to the recipient. If you think they’d prefer to pick their own knife, gift cards are available for values of £XX up to £XX.
Can you sharpen my Cutler & Smyth knife for me?
Yes. We offer free knife sharpening for the first three years, so you can keep your knife in the best possible condition. After three years, we can continue sharpening your knife for a small fee. Contact us for more details.
Does a Cutler & Smyth knife come with a guarantee?
Yes. We offer a full lifetime guarantee with all our knives. But, to ensure you don’t invalidate your guarantee, we ask that you don’t put your knife through the dishwasher. We can also recondition knives for a small fee per knife. Please get in touch with your request.
How old do you have to be to buy a Cutler & Smyth knife?
With all bladed products, you must be over the age of 18. We carry out age verification checks on purchases made by UK residents. We do this to follow the law and keep people safe.
